Turkomans are nomadic warriors and herdsman of Central Asia. Turkomans have the most graceful and elegant jewelry and ornaments in the Asia’s heartland. Their jewelry and ornaments have a distinctive style and the use of gilded silver and Carnelian cabochons is common in authentic Turkoman pieces. The bracelet has 4 tiers and is adorned with 12 oval shaped Carnelian stones surrounded by intricate details on gilded silver background. This is an authentic late 19th century Turkoman piece and is made of high-grade silver. Authentic Turkoman bracelets from this era are extremely rare. The bracelet is in excellent condition and all the stones are intact. The inside of the bracelet has some hammer marks as shown in the pictures. The surface of the silver has a rich patina from years of wear. The bracelet measures 4” long x 2 ¾” wide at the wide end and 2 ½” wide at the narrow end.
